Lobster Hunting Opportunity 🦞
In season and where conditions allow, certified divers may have the opportunity to lobster hunt during dives, in accordance with California regulations. A great option for experienced divers looking to add a rewarding skill-based dive to the day.
Lobster hunters are responsible for carrying required licenses, report cards, and measuring devices in order to be cleared to dive.

Boarding Window (Night Before Departure):
8:00 PM – 10:00 PM
Divers board the Ceeray the evening prior to departure, get settled, and prepare for an overnight offshore crossing.
We recommend arriving having already had dinner, as dinner will not be provided onboard this evening.
Departure Time:
1:00 AM
The Ceeray departs overnight to reach Santa Barbara Island in the early morning for a full day of diving.
Return Time:
Evening of February 7th, following a full day of diving.
Santa Barbara Island is farther offshore than other Channel Islands—overnight departure allows us to maximize dive time at this remote and truly special destination.
Overnight Comfort Note
Light sleeping accommodations are available onboard during the overnight crossing. We recommend bringing a small pillow, blanket, or earplugs if you’re sensitive to noise or light.

Evening Boarding
Boarding takes place the night before departure to allow for an overnight crossing and a full day of diving at Santa Barbara Island.
Sleeping Aboard
Sleeping arrangements are shared and informal. Most divers res soundly during the crossing. Comfort items like a pillow, blanket, or eye mask are encouraged.
Pack Smart
Keep overnight and morning essentials in a small, easily accessible bag. Larger gear can remain stowed once onboard.
Meals & Mornings
Hot meals, snacks, and drinks are provided during our diving day. Coffee and tea are available in the morning to help you ease into the dive day and remain available throughout the day.

As with all Channel Islands trips, schedules and dive sites may adjust based on weather and sea conditions for safety and the best experience.

If Blue Holic Scuba cancels the trip, guests will receive a full refund or the option to reschedule at the same price point on any other trip.

Guest cancellations made at least one week in advance are eligible for a full refund or credit toward another boat trip.

Cancellations within one week are non-refundable.
