Course Structure

Duration: 4 days (2 weekends)

1. Knowledge Development: Understand basic scuba principles through PADI videos and classroom sessions.
2. Confined Water Dives: Practice scuba skills in a pool on Saturday mornings.
3. Open Water Dives: Apply your skills in the ocean on Sunday's Diving Trips.

Academic Details

• Watch 5 PADI videos at home.
• Attend a 2-hour classroom session to review knowledge and take the final exam.

Course Costs

Total Cost: $1000 - $1400

Base Fee: $209

• Covers instructor fees and PADI Scuba Diver License.

Additional Charges:

1. Course Materials:

   • Open Water Manual: $95.50 OR E-learning: $250
   • Log Book: $10
   • Safety Gear (SMB: $55, Reel: $50)

2. Dives:

   • Ocean Dives (6 dives over 2 full-day trips): $200 per trip ($400 total)
   • Pool Dives (2 sessions): $35 per session ($70 total)
   • Those can be reserved directly on our Dive Calendar.

3. Personal Gear:

   • Mask, Snorkel, Fins, Booties, Gloves: ~$350-$600 (15% discount in store)
   • You can start browsing our selection under Personal Gear. 

Special Offer:

• 15% Discount on personal gear purchased in-store.
• Free Rental of additional gear (BCD, regulator, tank, weight belt and wetsuit) when personal gear is purchased in-store.

Inclusivity and Accessibility

• Plus-Sized Gear: We provide gear for plus-sized individuals. Please call ahead for details to ensure we have everything ready for your dive.
• Small Class Sizes: We keep our classes small to provide the best care and personalized attention for our students.
• Support for Panicked or Anxious Divers: We specialize in helping divers who may feel panicked or anxious. We offer as many pool sessions as needed before heading to the ocean, ensuring you feel comfortable and confident in your skills.

• Catalina Island: Casino Point National Park
• Channel Islands: Peace Dive Boat
• Cost: $200 per trip (includes tanks, 3 dives, meals on Peace Boat)

Getting Started

2. Book Sessions: Reserve your pool and boat trips via our Dive Calendar.
3. Visit the Shop: Come to the shop at least 1 week before your start date to sign paperwork and pick up your gear and class materials.
