Join Blue Holic Scuba for a special freediving-only day aboard the Spectre in the Channel Islands.

This trip is designed for freedivers who want a full day in the ocean to practice their skills, explore the kelp, and hunt. One half of the boat will be reserved for the Blue Holic Scuba group, while the other half will be chartered by the Dive Aunties.

There will be no scuba tanks on this trip. Bring your freediving gear, hunting equipment if you plan to hunt, and get ready for a full day on the water.

About the Trip

The Spectre will take us to three anchored dive sites selected by the captain based on the day’s ocean and weather conditions.

Freedivers can use the day to:

  • Practice breath-hold diving
  • Work on equalization, duck dives, and technique
  • Explore California kelp forests
  • Gain more experience freediving from a boat
  • Spearfish or hunt within current fishing regulations
  • Spend time in the water with other local freedivers

Hunting is completely optional. You are welcome to join simply to practice and enjoy the ocean.

This trip follows Blue Holic Scuba’s standard one-week boat cancellation policy.
